Achari Paneer is an absolute treat for your taste buds. An extremely easy dish to make, the onions are blended together with ginger, garlic and chillies to form a thick paste. This tangy curry tastes best when eaten with roti or naan.
Alternate Method:
Achari paneer is an aromatic accompaniment, which imbibes its flavour from a mixture of seeds used in the seasoning. A simple mixture of curds, flour and a few spice powders forms the base of this delectable cottage cheese preparation.

Ingredients
- 1cup paneer cubescottagte cheese
- 1tsp fennel seedssaunf
- 1/4tsp Mustard seedsrai / sarson
- 5 to 6 fenugreek seedsmethi
- 1tsp nigella seedskalonji
- 1/2tsp Cumin seedsjeera
- 1/2tsp Asafoetidahing
- 1/2cup thinly sliced onions
- 1/2tsp Turmeric powderhaldi
- 1/2tsp chilli powder
- 1/2tsp Black saltsanchal
- 3/4cup fresh curdsdahi
- 1tsp plain flourmaida
- 3tbsp Chopped corianderdhania
- 1tbsp Oil
- Saltto taste
Instructions
- Mix the fennel seeds, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, nigella seeds, cumin seeds and asafoetida in a small bowl.
- Heat the oil and add the seed mixture.
- When they crackle, add the onion and saute till it turns translucent.
- Add the paneer, turmeric, chilli powder, black salt and stir for some time.
- Add the curds, sprinkle the plain flour and mix well.
- Add the coriander and salt and bring to a boil.
- Serve hot with rice or rotis.
Recipe Notes
If it is sour, add 1 tsp of milk and serve.
